Umo Callins

Owner and Founder

Umo Callins is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), board-certified sports Dietitian (CSSD), a certified Personal Trainer, and a Pre and Post-natal Corrective Exercise Specialist (PPCES). She has over 10 years of experience providing medical nutrition therapy, nutrition counseling, and physical activity training to several clients across Oklahoma and surrounding states.

Umo specializes in nutritional health with focus in weight management, in addition to physical and emotional health and fitness. She works with individuals seeking help with weight loss, weight management, and nutritional management of diseases and conditions such as: diabetes, heart disease, hormone imbalances, disordered eating, and many other health conditions. As a mother of three, she also has a genuine passion for educating parents and guardians on how to keep their kids healthy!

Umo believes that when it comes to achieving a healthy lifestyle, it’s important to look beyond what you eat and see the bigger picture. This includes the necessities of sleep, stress, physical activity, emotional health, and other individual habits. Establishing a foundation of healthy eating and physical activity are key. The greatest challenge for most is how to accomplish this while navigating the obstacles of everyday life. This is why Umo is passionate about tailoring her clients’ care and instilling full confidence in the behavior changes made to become the BEST version of themselves.

When Umo isn’t at Well Rooted, she enjoys having dance parties with her adorable kiddos and spending time with her amazing husband, who she works alongside training athletes to obtain their optimal performance and improve physical recovery. Umo is equally in love with physical fitness as she is with nutrition, and fulfills this through weight training, spin class, or high-intensity interval training (H.I.I.T.) As a self-proclaimed foodie, she also loves spending time in the kitchen and experimenting with healthy alternatives to delicious meals found in local restaurants.

Madie Brackett

Registered Dietician and Certified Personal Trainer

Madie Brackett is a Registered Dietitian and a certified Personal Trainer. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Nutritional Science from the University of Central Oklahoma and completed her Dietetic Internship through the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Madie has 5 years of experience as a personal trainer, which ultimately sparked her passion for helping others reach their health and fitness goals. As an athlete herself, Madie has competed in multiple Crossfit competitions, powerlifting meets, and Jiu Jitsu tournaments, helping her realize the importance of nutrition on athletic performance.

Madie has a strong passion for empowering others to achieve the healthiest and happiest version of themselves, no matter what that looks like. She believes the foundation of a healthy lifestyle starts with three concepts: Fitness, nutrition, and mindset. In a world full of conflicting nutrition advice, it is important to understand that learning and applying proper nutrition to our everyday lives is a lifelong process and there are no sustainable quick fixes. Nutrition is not a one size fits all modality, therefore, Madie’s approach is to provide nutrition counseling tailored to fit the individual’s goals, lifestyle, and needs. Whether you’re looking to improve athletic performance, lose weight, achieve optimal blood sugar levels, or simply just to feel better, Madie is committed to helping you reach those goals one small step at a time.

When she’s not working, Madie loves being outdoors in the sunshine and traveling to new places, especially the beach! She spends most of her free time doing Crossfit and Brazilian jiu jitsu. Madie has been training jiu jitsu since 2015. Food is one of her many love languages, so she appreciates any opportunity to try new restaurants around the OKC Metro area. As a lover of all types of music, Madie enjoys going to concerts and music festivals with her fiancé, John. She also loves spending time with her friends and family and being a dog mom to her 3 rescue dogs.
